  • Verbal Reasoning: all standard GL types - anagrams, compound words, embedded words, letter and word analogies, letter codes, letter sequences, synonyms, antonyms, word relationships, logic puzzles

Non-Verbal Reasoning - 50 minutes

  • Non-Verbal Reasoning: extended figure series, 3x3 matrices with horizontal and vertical rules, figure analogies, horizontal and vertical codes, odd-figure-out

What it tests

Verbal Reasoning · Non-Verbal Reasoning

What to work on

  • the full range of GL verbal types, done to a steady rhythm
  • spotting multi-feature changes in non-verbal series and matrices
  • keeping accuracy up at speed across a long reasoning paper

Worth knowing

  • No English or Maths at Stage 1 - it is reasoning only.
  • Volume is high, so pace is as important as accuracy.
